I’M BACK!! I took two weeks off from blogging and can I just talk about how refreshed I feel and how ready I am to be back and to serve you guys with great content? It’s okay to take a break and catch your breath. However, I wasn’t off catching my breath. I’ve been working on a really exciting project that I can’t wait to share with you all in a couple of months!

Anyways, I’ve talked about dry shampoo before but I’ve never explained how to properly use it and why you should use it. I use dry shampoo to give my hair a little bit of texture to help hold my back combing I put in my hair. But, for majority of people, it’s used to soak up excess oil. The reason why some people have excess oil is because they’re washing their hair everyday which over-stimulates their sebaceous (oil) glands. If your hair typically gets extremely oily applying dry shampoo at night will help soak up oils while you sleep.

The proper way to use dry shampoo is to section your hair in horizontal sections from your ears to the top of your head and apply a little in each section. You don’t want to use too much because some will leave a white residue. After applying the dry shampoo wait a few minutes and then style as you normally would!

That’s it, y’all. So simple but I think sometimes it’s used wrong. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram (ksmithbeauty) where I show tips and tricks in my Instagram stories.
