Hey, beauty babes! I hope you all had a great weekend with friends and family! I feel like I’ve been so M.I.A the past few days on social media but I’m back and I’m feeling refreshed. Summer is here (basically) and I want to share with you all my go-to eye look when I want to make my makeup look extra summer-y. lol! Bright colored eyeshadow can be very intimidating to use everyday but if it’s done correctly it is so beautiful. I’m going to share a few tips to create a beautiful eye look every single time.
For this eye look I used my Jaclyn Hill X Morphe palette. It is so versatile so if you don’t have this yet I would highly recommend it. Plus, the price for this palette is amazing! First, when using bright colored eyeshadow it’s best to keep your crease a neutral shade, unless, of course, you’re going for a specific eye look! Using a neutral shade in your crease will create a subtle pop instead of an overwhelming amount of color. I started off with a light brown tone and put that directly into my crease. Then I went in with a darker brown tone and put that right overtop of the first shade I used. I did the same thing for my lower lash line as well.
Now for the fun colors! I used the bright blue shade in the palette and put that on my lower lash line. I suggest starting off very lightly with the blue shade and building up the brightness. You can control the outcome easier, trust me on this…I learned the hard way a few times. lol! After applying the eyeshadow I used Makeup Forever’s Aqua XL Eye Pencil in the shade M-30 directly on my waterline. This pulls the whole look together in my opinion. I also used this on my upper water line (tight lining is what this is called) to add a pop of blue on top.
After applying the eyeliner all you need is mascara and then you’re done! This is a super easy way of turning an everyday eye look into a summertime eye makeup look. Let me know in the comments below what your favorite makeup product for summer is.
