Wing eyeliner…did you cringe at the thought of doing this every morning? Yeah, me too! This is the most desired look and it’s also the most frustrating technique to master. As a makeup artist I know my strengths and I know my weaknesses and this is by far my biggest weakness. BUT, it’s okay because there’s an easy way to achieve this look every single time. All you need is Scotch Tape, an eyeliner brush, and of course eyeliner. My go-to eyeliner is Tarte Cosmetics. It’s so creamy and easy to apply. The brush I use is a MAC Cosmetics 210 brush. This brush is tiny and I lose it on the daily but it makes the job so easy.
To start this eye look apply tape right under your lower lash line like this…
Having the tape will create the cat eye shape for you. Once you have the tape you’re going to apply your eyeliner. You can make your wing eyeliner as long, short, skinny, thick, as you want. The tape is your guard and you don’t have to worry about messing up! Once you apply your eyeliner it’s going to look a little messy so don’t let that freak you out.
After you apply your eyeliner it’s time to remove the tape. Slowly peel the tape off so you’re not disturbing your foundation. After you take the tape off you can go back and do any small touch-ups that need to be done.
After you do your touch-ups you’re done! It really is this easy and I hope this simple tip helps you achieve perfect wings every single time.
